About the speakers
Claire Moore was born and educated in Toowoomba. A long-term public servant, Claire originally worked in the Commonwealth public service and then became the Secretary of the Community and Public Sector Union (Qld) from 1994 to 2001. In 2001 she was elected to the Senate for Queensland and was re-elected in 2007, 2013 and 2016. She is now a community worker.
