About the speaker
Diana Hacker has been reading, researching and writing about Queensland history for most of her life. She is a Life Member of the Queensland Women’s Historical Association, having fulfilled the roles of president, committee member and long-term archivist in over fifty years of membership. Members will be familiar with her lectures about Operation Jaywick, the Perry family and the local community of Gaythorne (in her book Miss Lade, Not Lost). Other books include Booroodabin, Lilies in the Field and three volumes of The Matildas – Short Biographies of Queensland Women Past and Present
